The heat pump non-installers course enables anyone other than installers to gain the knowledge and skills required to design, specify and sell heat pump systems.
During the two day course, candidates will be provided with the information they require regarding heat pump systems including current legislation, system selection and design. As with all of our training at SWAAT, the training is delivered by our team of qualified and experienced tutors.
To provide the knowledge and understanding required for the design and selection of groundsource and airsource heat pump systems.
Those working alongside heat pump installers. Typical course candidates include architects, building engineers, local Government, housing association employees and salepersons working within the renewable sector.
For anyone requiring a qualification for the installation of heat pumps, South West Assessment and Training offer the LCL Awards Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Heat Pump Systems (Non-Refrigerant Circuits) course.
Anyone involved in the design of heat pump installations will also need to undertake the Designing Low Temperature Heating and Hot Water Systems in Dwellings course.
There are no pre-requisites for undertaking this course although candidates may benefit from taking the wider scope BPEC Renewables Awareness course before this course.
The training course covers the following:
Two days
Theory - although candidates will also be introduced to the practical elements of heat pump installation
Assessments consist of a combination of practical and theory examinations
Candidates who successfully complete the assessment will receive a certificate of attendence
Candidates will be provided with a training pack.
