Introduction

Unvented hot water is one of the fastest growing sectors of the U.K.

Unvented systems are fed directly from the cold water mains supply and offer a number of benefits compared to conventional systems, such as;

This is an assessment only and successful completion will allow delegates to install, commission or service unvented cylinders (or any mains water fed appliance) and self-certify their work in accordance with Part G3 of the Building Regulations.

Who is the course aimed at?

The course is aimed at individuals who already hold the qualification but who need to renew it.

PLEASE NOTE: The previous qualification can have been taken at any time in the past.

Entry requirements/pre-requisites

Evidence of the existing qualification must be provided by way of a certificate or their operative's card.

Course duration

This is an assessment only and should take no more than half a day.

Course Outcome/Qualification

Candidates who successfully complete the assessment will receive a certificate of competence from CERT-AIN, the awarding body.

This will enable them to apply to join an appropriate competent persons scheme and self-certify the installation and commissioning of unvented and open-vented hot water cylinders and systems.
