Every now and then South West Assessment and Training are lucky enough to be recognised for their hard work in ensuring that anyone working within, or wishing to work within, the plumbing, heating, electrical or renewable energy industries are trained to the highest possible standard. Below are some examples of this recognition...
On 31st May 2012 South West Assessment and Training were 'highly commended' for heat pump training, at the National Heat Pump Awards. SWAAT were up against some well-known names in the heat pump industry, amongst them NIBE, Danfoss, EasyMCS and Glow-worm, but beat them all to the award.
September 8th 2011 is a very memorable date for South West Assessment and Training as it was during this particular evening that the centre picked up the award for Renewables Training Initiative 2011, fending off stiff competition from the Centre of Alternative Technology (CAT), Sevenoaks Energy Academy and EasyMCS.
Recognition indeed of all the hard work the team have put into ensuring that people leave our centre more knowledgeable in the renewable technologies available to them.
In a tough category South West Assessment and Training picked up an award at the 2009 OFTEC Excellence Awards for our dedication to renewable technology
S.W.A.A.T. Centre Manager, Mike Kent, was honoured to be awarded the Bronze Award for 'Green Individual' at the Cornwall Sustainability Awards 2009 due to his efforts at building the South West Assessment and Training Centre of Renewable Technologies.
Speaking after receiving the award Mike said that this was "recognition indeed", not only for his own efforts but also for the hard work and commitment given by Sally, Kevin and the rest of his team to establish the centre.
