EAL 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Requirements for electrical installation 2018)
This EAL 18th Edition Course is ideal for anyone working in the electrical industry that needs to prove they are up to date with the latest IEE wiring regulations.
The 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification is for practicing technicians who are experienced with electrical installations as well as those who may require a working knowledge of BS7671, for example architects or designers.
It is designed to ensure that all who undertake the course are up-to-date with the format, content and applications of BS7671 and is an in-depth course covering everything needed to be known about the 17th Edition.

Who is the course aimed at?
Experienced operatives either carrying out or intending to carry out electrical installation, maintenance and testing work.
Candidates should also have a working knowledge of electrical installations.
For anyone new to electrical work, or who would like to update their knowledge and skills, it is highly recommended that they undertake the Basic Electrics course prior to this course.

The course is run over five days - four days are for training and one-day is the assessment. There is some home study and the course is very intensive!
Multiple-choice computer EAL on-line examination.
Candidates who successfully complete the assessment will receive a EAL certificate of competence and will also be able to carry out work in accordance with the scope of this course.
At the end of the course candidates will be aware of most of the requirements of the relevant British Standard as all of the most recent changes in the regulations as specified by the IEE.
The qualification is required by most employers within the industry. It is also a requirement to become Part P registered with some Registration Bodies (PLEASE NOTE: This qualification on its own does not make any successful candidate Part P qualified/registered).
